Africa University Scholarships: The Public Sector Management Training Programme (PSMTP) is an innovative Master’s degree in Public Sector Management.
It provides both graduate and short term professional training in Public sector Management.
The graduate programme consists of Masters which is offered at Africa University (in Zimbabwe) and the short term professional training component offered at four Management Development Institute (MDI) in Lesotho, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia.
Africa Scholarships - Entry Requirements

A good university degree (equivalent professional qualifications obtained by formal study and examination and recognized as a degree equivalent by the Africa University Senate) and 4 years of relevant post-qualification work experience

Be a middle-level professional or manager employed by a government or state enterprise located in Eastern or Southern Africa

Has permission from his/her employer; and Competence in basic Mathematics not below GCE "O" level shall be an added advantage. Africa Scholarships Work-Study
All students receiving financial assistance are expected to work in any of the University’s units for a specified number of hours a week as a token of appreciation for the award.
Currently those working outdoors are expected to work for two hours a week and those working indoors work for four hours a week.

African Scholarships for Undergraduate Women

Scholarships for African Women - Train Scholarships for Women in the Congo Basin provided by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
These grants provide support to women to pursue a certification, diploma, or technical degree in conservation.
The scholarships allow women in the Congo Basin to gain much-needed formal conservation qualifications.
Scholars receive financial support for education-related costs for a period of about one year (maximum of US$10,000.)
Study can take place anywhere in the world, must lead to a certificate, diploma, or degree.
Scholarships for African Women Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a Train Scholarship.

• Be a citizen and legal resident of Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, or Republic of Congo.
• Be currently employed in conservation at a government agency, protected area, NGO, or educational institution.
• Have at least one year work experience in conservation.
• Be enrolled in, be admitted to, or have applied to a study program ( to receive a certificate or diploma, or postgraduate/technical degree) by the application deadline AND must plan to begin studies no later than one year after the application deadline.
• Be accepted to a diploma, degree or certificate program less than 18 months in duration;
• Have support of her supervisor with a guarantee that she will return to her position after completion of the study program.
• Commit to working in conservation in her home country or region for at least two years after completion of the study program.
• Must NOT have received a scholarship or fellowship from EFN in the past (Applicants who have received professional development grants are eligible to apply.)
• WWF staff or a long-term consultant to WWF are not eligible to apply.

African Graduate Scholarships in International Health and Development

African Graduate Scholarships in International Health and Development - University College London.
The scholarships exist to support African nationals with a high-quality academic and professional background who wish to further develop their skills and knowledge in their specific field.
The Scholarship is a one-off award for the academic year September-September.

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

The Candidate must be an African national and a permanent resident of an African nation.

The Candidate must have made an application to UCL to study for a full-time postgraduate programme at the Centre for International Health and Development for the coming academic year.

The Scholarship is offered as a partial payment towards UCL tuition fees and will not cover additional living and travel costs. Therefore the candidate must arrange for and obtain additional funding.
The candidate must also be able to provide evidence that he/she has secured other sources of funding for travel and living costs and the remainder of the tuition fees.

The Scholarship can only be applied to tuition fees for a UCL CIHD MSc or MPhil/PhD. Scholarship awards are deducted from tuition fees. Successful candidates will not receive the scholarship directly.

African Guest Researcher Scholarship Programme: This research Scholarship Programme is directed at scholars in Africa engaged in research on/about the African continent and with a proven track record of extensive research experience.
The applicant should be placed at or affiliated with an African university or other African research institution.
Women are especially encouraged to apply for these research scholarships.
Applications are invited from scholars with research projects related to current thematic research clusters at the Institute:

Agrarian Change, Property and Resources

Conflict, Displacement and Transformation

Globalization, Trade and Regional Integration

Urban Dynamics Applicants are requested to identify within what cluster their project fits best and to motivate the identification.

Research Scholarship and Facilities
The Guest Researchers' scholarship includes a return air-fare (economy class), accommodation, a subsistence allowance of SEK (Swedish kronor) 300 (approx. USD 45) a day plus an installation grant of SEK 2,500 (approx. USD 370), a shared office and free photocopying facilities up to a maximum of 1,000 copies.
Guest Researchers have access to a computer/MS Word at the office and have to do their own typing.
The maximum duration of the stay is 90 days. To be entitled to a refund of the travel costs, the Guest Researcher has to stay for at least two months.
Please note that most academic institutions in the Nordic countries, including the Nordic Africa Institute, are closed or at least running at a reduced capacity during the periods 15 June–15 August and 15 December–15 January.
Applicants are thus asked not to choose these periods for their visit.
The Institute’s library is specialized in literature on contemporary Africa and focuses on Social Sciences.
Guest Researchers also have access to the Uppsala University Library, including their online resources, and to the Library of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
