The Hegg Hoffet Fund for Displaced Women Graduates deals with applications for assistance from graduate women (in special cases tertiary women students) who have been displaced as a result of war, political upheaval or other serious emergencies, and makes short term grants for refresher courses for re-entry into the candidates’ professional fields, and courses for integration into new countries.

In case of serious natural disasters, national federations and associations may apply for short-term grants on behalf of university women (women students), who suffered hardship due to the disaster, and who wish to continue their work or studies.

Graduate women refugees generally need moral support as well in order to learn to live in a different country.
This support is given by national and local groups of university women from all over the world.

Queen’s Entrepreneurs’ Competition - Open to Undergraduates Worldwide

Queen’s Entrepreneurs’ Competition: The Queen's Entrepreneurs' Competition brings together the brightest young entrepreneurs from across the world to compete for $25,000 in cash prizes.
Competitors also have the chance to network with Canada's leading business professionals.

The QEC has received business plan submissions from as far as Australia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Scotland, South Africa , India, Singapore, Portugal, the U.S and the Philippines.

Here are some basic requirements that must be met to be eligible to compete at QEC:

Competitors must be undergraduate students and can be from any faculty or program.

Existing proposals are valid and qualify for consideration provided the plan has not qualified as a finalist in a previous QEC competition.

Each team entered can have a maximum of four students and one faculty advisor.

Entrants may involve the help of other students to produce parts of the plan. These students do not have to be registered members of the group.

Norad’s Programme for Master Studies (NOMA) Scholarship

Call for applications to Norad’s Programme for Master Studies (NOMA)
The Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Higher Education (SIU) invites applications for grants to Master programmes to be conducted in English in the South.
The call for applications is presented with reference to the NOMA Agreement between the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) and SIU, signed on 27 April, extended with an addendum and the NOMA Programme Document.
A Master degree programme eligible for support under the NOMA programme is defined as full- time work-load over two academic years equivalent to 120 credits according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
Categories:
Bilateral Master programmes for a period of either two years (one student cohort) or four years (two student cohorts).
NOMA funding is limited to maximum NOK 2,25 million for one student cohort and maximum NOK 4,5 million for two student cohorts and includes all relevant supportive activities.

Multilateral Master programmes for a period of either two years (one student cohort) or four years (two student cohorts).
NOMA funding is limited to maximum NOK 3 million for one student cohort and maximum NOK 6 million for two student cohorts and includes all relevant supportive activities.

Eligible countries:
Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Bangladesh and other selected countries.

Eligible academic fields:

Education.

Environment, economic development and trade.

Gender.

Good governance, democratic development, human rights and migration.

Health.

HIV/AIDS.

Oil and energy.

MSc Scholarship in Leadership for Sustainable Development - Queens University Belfast

Commonwealth scholarship awards scheme assists students of excellent academic calibre from developing Commonwealth countries who would benefit from higher education in the United Kingdom, to the developmental advantage of their home countries, but who, for financial reasons, are unable to study in Britain and are outside the scope of other British Government Support Schemes.

The awards include air fares to and from Belfast, tuition fees and a maintenance allowance.
Queen's University will assist award-holders in finding accommodation, but students are responsible for covering this out of their maintenance allowance.

Candidates are normally expected to hold a first degree at either first class or upper second class level.

Priority is given to candidates under the age of 30.

Candidates who have already studied for one year or more in a developed country will not normally be eligible for an award.

Candidates who are employed by a Government department, either local or national, or a parastatal organisation will not be eligible to apply.

East African Community LLM & PhD Scholarships: Applications for admission and scholarships are invited from candidates in member states of the East African Community, who wish to receive a scholarship and to take part in the postgraduate study programme in law (LLM or PhD) offered by the Tanzanian-German Centre for Postgraduate Studies in Law at the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law (Formerly Faculty of Law) in cooperation with the University of Bayreuth (TGCL).
The purpose of the programme is to train future leaders in East Africa. University of Bayreuth (TGCL) grants ten LLM scholarships and five PhD scholarships each year.
Scholarships are granted for one year in the case of LLM students and three years in the case of PhD students.

Scholarship Requirements and Qualifications:
The requirements for admission to the LLM and PhD programmes are those applicable at the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law (Formerly Faculty of Law).

For the LLM programme:

A Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher legal education.

CFC Stanbic Bank Education Fund Scholarship: CFC Stanbic Bank in collaboration with The United States International University (USIU) are sponsoring four (4) bright and needy undergraduate students under the CFC Stanbic Bank Education Fund Scholarship.
Applicants for this scholarship must be recent KCSE candidates interested in pursuing any of the following degree program at USIU; Accounting (B.Sc), Business Administration (B.Sc), Information Systems & Technology (B.Sc), Applied Computer Technology (B.Sc), and International Business Administration (B.Sc).
CFC Stanbic Bank and USIU will pay all tuition costs as well as library, medical and Students Affairs Council (SAC) fees. The successful candidates will be required to meet other costs not mentioned in this advert.

Minimun Qualifications: A mean grade of B (Plain) or better in the recent Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a grade of C+ (plus) in English and Mathematics.
Interviews will be conducted in June. Successful candidates will be notified in July and recognized during the Universities annual graduation ceremony in August.

Distance Learning Scholarships for Construction Professionals: The MSc International Construction Management (ICM) programme is offered through a high-quality flexible distance learning experience using workfiles and text books complemented by web-based activities and support.
Study is undertaken to individually agreed schedules ranging from 15 months to five years.

The programme reflects the breadth of management issues facing today’s international construction manager and seeks to develop creative decision-making and problem-solving skills critical for success in a competitive business environment.

Ten full fee scholarships are available for Tanzanian nationals working in the construction industry in Tanzania (or neighbouring countries) to study the MSc International Construction Management (ICM) programme by distance learning.
This is an exceptional opportunity for suitably qualified Tanzanians to further their career while at the same time staying in full time employment.
The programme is designed to be completed over three years, during which students will attend two seven day residentials in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
